Wallstreet Video....again

I have looked everywhere here, done everything said and still no luck. I can get fullscreen at 640x480 31hz, but has there been any kind of fix for this yet....I love using ubuntu, but this isn't useable. Thanks for any help you can give.

I found the answer thru some trial and error, I am now running 5.10 in native 1024x768. Ubuntu Rocks.....

Here is what my xorg.conf file says....and I have the following command in bootx

In bootx I need to put the following parameters...

root=/dev/hda9 video=atyfb:vmode:14,cmode:8,mclk:71

the hda9 is what partition my ubuntu install is on.........

I tried to follow the above advice by manually editing my xorg.conf file to have the higher screen resolutions but things still dindn't work. What was left out is that the "no video driver" option must be checked in BootX, then things worked (full screen, high resolution)
