hey guys im currently at work so i cant post any code errors but in brief...i bought some e-bibles from the e-sword links but now when i try to run the .exe thru wine to use the bible as a add on for e-sword it fails saying install was interrupted but doesnt say why. i know that i must enter a passkey given by the site i bought the bible form before im able to use it but i have the key ready to use but i cant get anywhere into the installation to input the key to be able to add the bible to e-sword. Any help will be greatly appreciated!!!

How did you install e-Sword? Which version of e-Sword you are using? Is the e-bibles compatible with e-Sword you are using now?

i am using the one donwloaded directly from the e-sword site...latest version! i copy and pasted the .exe into my .cahce folder( or whatever it is...sorry not at my computer to check for you!! :( but i installed from the e-sword installer that came within CE.
also i bought the bibles from the e-sword site that sent me else where but it seems to be good i just cant execute within wine to use it as a add-on to e-sword!!

If you use installer to install e-Sword, you should use instlaller as well to install addons.
Launch the installer and choose "manual", and locate the addons exe file.

For those that use the various utility programs for e-Sword, if you used David's installer program to install e-Sword, then you have to use that installer to install the utility programs.

I know this post is from a long time ago, but I just wanted to say thank you to both you guys, Jonathon and David, for your work with this. Thanks to the instructions on this post I now have e-Sword running on my Ubuntu 9.10 CE as well as it does on XP (I'm dual-booting), with all my preferred commentaries and Bibles there too. This means one major block is potentially out of the way to move to Ubuntu. Anyway, thanks a lot for a great job!
