compiz with CE

I haven't throughly tested it, but so far everything on the day to day use seems fine on my box.
exactly what do you do with it daily? like i use wobbly windows and cube and fire and all that good stuff!!!
to be 100% honest. Right now the Wobbly windows is about all I use. This is my first real experience with compiz. Yes I have been a linux user for many years now and I have been using openSuSE for some time. I always had compiz disabled. The wobbly windows is super cool and the desktop flip with you switch to another desktop in the VM is pretty slick too.
yea all i use really are: wobbly windows, animations for(opening, minimizing, closing windows) desktop cube switcher(8 virtual desktops) fire on screen, snow, water, and a few other window mods!! but i use it with ubuntu ultimate...but as a christian i use CE for my bible study time but i still like compiz but i dont want to "decorate" my CE install too much...i left all the default settings the same..minus the desktop!
I insta switched from openSuSE to this when ever I stumbled upon the project. I love Christ and Linux so this is a win win for me :D And to be honest with you. I used to be a big KDE freak and big anti-gnome guy. There is a short history to this. When I first started messing around with linux I bought an SuSE 5.2 cd from Linux System Labs and this cd came with KDE 1.0 Beta. So I started out on KDE. Now I didn't use kde all the time but I did refuse to use gnome even during the whole "KDE sux cuz its too much like MS Windows, gnome rox cuz its different!" phase where the world hated kde and loved gnome. I stuck by KDE. But like I said I didn't use it all the time, I would try all the major releases out and use those for a short bit of time but I would slip right back in my uber l33t power use mode again. I stoped using SuSE because I hated the graphical boot in 8.0 so I dumped SuSE for LFS. Well, recently, when I came to my sences, I returned to the now openSuSE and loved it. And of couse I went with the KDE 4.1 install, and loved it too. But somewhere in there I just felt a strange desire to give gnome a peek. So I reinstalled openSuSE this time off the dvd instead of the live CD that I first installed from and installed gnome instead of KDE. I have been loving gnome ever since eventhough people knock gnome and praise kde now adays. At least they did on the openSuSE forums.
well theres one thing we have in common...i too am in love with Christ and i enjoy ubuntu so also when i saw this i flipped out!! actually i saw the iso image on another torrent site and i came here looking for it! well i have experience only with ubuntu(8.10 and up) i now use ultimate edition and i must say for a main operating system i will never go anywhere else except for ultimate...not even regular jaunty!! Ultimate all the way!! but i am triple booting...a custom xp, ultimat, and now CE! my CE install is setup solely for bible study! even the music on it is all gospel! but i am the main computer/audio guy for my church so the server edition is really holding my attention with the hopeful ability to start up a website!! that would be major for my church as we are still growing!!

Short answer: Yes.
Long answer: That would depend on your chipset. If your chipset support direct rendering, compiz should work. So, if you could use compiz with normal ubuntu, surely you could use compiz with CE.
