Tell me about Moblin Remix..................

What is Ubuntu moblin remix? What are it's specifications? I mean for what it design(applications and users) Thankx:)

How do you define "OS"? It's more of a change than Gnome to KDE for example, but it is still the linux kernel. You can run all your same apps (OO.o, Evolution, etc), but they don't all come installed. The whole system is tweaked to run specifically on the low-power intel atom processors. It is designed to be a starting point to your online world more than a stand-alone system, as netbooks (the intended target) aren't really designed to be full, standalone computing units like their more powerful cousins.

I wanted to know that it is ubuntu with light weighted GUI or specially designed new system for NETBOOKS. Anyway, i think i got it. Thankx........:)

The simplest answer is that it is somewhere between. The UI is lighter, but it also has some different sub-systems underneath. Also, many features are stripped away that simply are less likely to be needed in a netbook. I guess it is closer to a new system for netbooks, but you could (in theory) put the interface on a standard Ubuntu install, provided you met certain hardware requirements.

it is recommended that Moblin be used on a netbook?...or can i just used kubuntu without much complications??
