After installing Ubuntu Moblin Remix on my HP Mini 1000, I couldn't find any power options. Both gnome-power-manager and gconf-editor are not installed by default. After installing both, I notice that there are no options to set the default brightness on AC in gnome-power-manager. I opened gconf-editor and set it to 10, from 100.

Even after doing that, the brightness is still set to max the next time I boot up. This is not ideal because it sucks more battery life when the screen is at max brightness. I always set it to the lowest comfortable level. Is there any way to get the brightness setting to stick between sessions?
