Just for the record, release version numbers indicate the date that the final release will be made. For example 9.10 is year 9 (2009), month 10 (October). 10.4 will be release in April (month 4) of 2010.
Of course, betas come out before the release date, but not this early.

They are beta versions reverse engineered from one of the Area 51 space craft. Keyboard has not been figured out due to the creatures having 37 spider-like tentacles on each, so called, hand. Some have tried chaining 3-4 keyboards together but keep having problems with which Window key does what.

....twerps Upgrading from Ubuntu 9.10 or Ubuntu 8.04 LTS
To upgrade from Ubuntu 9.10 on a desktop system, press Alt+F2 and type in "update-manager -d" (without the quotes) into the command box. Update Manager should open up and tell you: New distribution release '10.04' is available. Click Upgrade and follow the on-screen instructions.

This thread has drifted off topic and seems to be heating up. The definitive answer is that Ubuntu 10.04 does not exist until April 29th. Until then, there's *Lucid Lynx*, which can be found at http://www.ubuntu.com/testing, for testing purposes.
