Hello everyone, I am wondering what the present state of full-screen magnifiers is. Last time I checked this topic out it was eZoom (if I remember correctly) that worked best (did full-screen magnification with high performance well), but as I remember there were some for me necessary features missing. I think it was colour inversion and/or focus tracking.

So, where are we today?

Inversion is working but the focus tracking is not on eZoom. There may now be some other projects that have superseeded this but i have not tried them.

I would like to implement tracking on eZoom. I have a starting point but have been trying to finish my current project off for a while but have been mega busy.

The plan was to take the focus tracking information from Orca and pass that using something like dBus to the eZoom plugin for compiz to have very basic tracking functionality. Then to build from there. Anyone interested in this please get in contact as i will happily contribute / support the effort towards this. I will be loking into this in the next few months.
