I'm having difficulty loading UNR 9.10 on my aspire netbook. I created a USB startup and initiated the load process (yes, checked for errors on the USB first and it came back clean). First problem I ran into was that it was default loading onto the SD storage card (I remedied by removing prior to installation). After that, I get pretty far through installation, until at about 98% installed when I get a message that a certain "read only" file cannot be removed. At that point, installation ceases and defaults to running the generic 9.10 from the USB drive. WTFO? Has anyone else experienced this and are there any recommendations to remedy?

I had similar problems. What I did to get around it, probably not the best route to take, but it worked for me--I reloaded a fresh install of 9.04 UNR and then upgraded through the repositories to 9.10. Seems like there's something wrong with the 9.10 UNR CD image.

i dont believe this is the case, i have Karmic NBR running on a AOA150 now and the install completed with no errors although i will admit, it did take a awfully long time to complete, upwards of 1hour.
I too can confirm that it installs fine on the AOA150. And it did take long, but seems to be caused by the language packs. If you skip that (which I didnt want to - but did do in a virtual system) its faster.
