No more excuses for not using Amarok 2.

I wish they could backport to karmic.

If you are like me who couldn't wait, you can by upgrading the libqt4* with those from lucid and then installing this phonon-backend-xine.

I think you get better KDE performance anyway as these lucid version - 4.6 are a lot better than the 4.5.3really4.5.2 version karmic has.

BTW KDE 4.3.3, NV 190.42 GEforce 7300 2.6.32-2 kernel. Sort of Kubuntu 9.10.1

I guess I'm moving to KDE again #-o I'm so sick of switching DE's, I think I've done it at least 10 times in the last year.

I'm a Gnome guy, but have been using Amarok 1.4 for ages and loving it. I have no problem installing KDE apps like Kile, K3b, Amarok, as long as they do not install the KDE desktop, which I assume is still the case w/ this latest version of Amarok, right?

I used to be a big fan of the 1.4 series, I found it quite nice, and did everything i wanted it too.

The 2.x interface just bugs me. There is just too many littl ebuttons cluttering up the place, and too many panels and lists and stuff.

And then there is the oversized play/pause/etc buttons.

I'm liking juk right now. I could never ever get it to actually play anything, but after I tried it again the other day it worked perfectly. It's nice and clean.

Amarok 2 has always felt really slow and clunky to me, I probably still won't use it even with an eq.

No one posted a command...

And I doubt the version of amarok in 9.04 will have this feature, hell 9.10 may not either. This is a very recent addition to the software.
