I posted this on a general post a week ago and had no reply. Just recently I installed Ubuntu 9.10 in an IBM T40. When I installed Ubuntu I could not boot. The culprit is the search --no floppy line (in the msconfig below). I searched the forums but cannot find a way to remove this line from the boot. if at boot i click the "e" key I can manage to remove the line but this is temporary. Do I need to edit the 10_linux file to make it permanent? If so how do i do it? If not what steps do I follow to fix this problem. I was hoping this can be resolved within the neigborhood (I am from Hummelstown).
