Maybe I should have posted this in testing, but I'm playing with some pre-iso testing stuff for Lucid Alpha 2 and I booted into my Jaunty to burn a disc because Brasero in Karmic still stinks.
While I was fiddling with some other stuff in Synaptic the update to 3.5.7 popped up and I went for it. It went off without a hitch!

Just booted back into Karmic and used the terminal to update. No problem at all!

This is EXCELLENT! As much as I really liked the previous version (using the script), getting 'regular updates' is really nice.
