Ubuntuzilla New script error

While trying to use this page http://sourceforge.net/apps/mediawiki/ubuntuzilla/index.php?title=Main_Page#Installation using karmic, I ran into: Could not initialize the package information

An unresolvable problem occurred while initializing the package information.

Please report this bug against the 'update-manager' package and include the following error message:

'E:Malformed line 60 in source list /etc/apt/sources.list (dist parse), E:The list of sources could not be read.'

How can i correct this? Ubuntuzilla (old version) is uninstalled.

Uninstall Ubuntuzilla and re-install. Should solve your problem.

Had a similar issue on one computer a while back, and that method worked for me.

OOOOPPSSS .. just noticed Karmic .. you don't need Ubuntuzilla until Karmic is superseded. The repositories should keep your versions of Mozilla programs up to date.

hi something must have borked up your sources.list open it in a text editor (e.g., gksudo gedit /etc/apt/sources.list ) and make sure everything looks right...

or paste the output of

more /etc/apt/sources.list

and i'll take a look.

not true, compare with mozilla release versions:

here is my sources list. Before you looked, I reinstalled ubuntuzilla but can adjust if need be.

Hi

delete line number 60 and 61 (the next to last, and second to last lines). they do not belong there.

those are shell commands to run, not repositories.

specifically, delete these:

gksu gedit /etc/apt/sources.list
deb http://downloads.sourceforge.net/project/ubuntuzilla/mozilla/apt all main" | sudo tee -a /etc/apt/sources.list > /dev/null

after you delete these, run an update, then you can install your mozilla-build packages.
