Just received issue 33 of the Full Circle Magazine and already I am pissed. I read that starting in the next Ubuntu, 10.04, Yahoo will be the default search engine in Firefox. Also will the Yahoo page be the default home page. How stupid can one be to do this? Yahoo is a terrible company, with a lousy website and ditto search engine.

This is a major step in the wrong direction and should be corrected instantly. We all know if you really want to find something you use Google. Nobody wants to use something else.

Let's all fight for having Google default in Firefox. If not, if Ubuntu is so stubborn and stupid, let's all stop using Firefox.

I agree with you DeMus, I'm not a yahoo person myself :/

But Ubuntu has it's reasons, I guess. It says changing it back to Google is "*literally 2 easily discoverable clicks*".

Not relevant to the question, but I use the Vimperator FF addon myself, so my searching doesn't rely on the default setting ;)

You can always use Yahoo! to search for Google... ;)

Journalism and Editors training obviously. English and Speech/Rhetoric wouldn't hurt either.

I worked on my college's paper for two semesters and I had a great time. Definetly work on your schools paper if they have one, the training and the experience are unbeatable. Will look great on your resume as well.
