Playing around with one of Maverick installs, Synaptic presented me with some 'upgrades' and one of them was to 'remove' evolution. Don't I wish. I know it will all be sorted and 'updates' later will correct all this, but it just looked cool seeing evolution 'to be removed' :P
Wishful thinking?

you can remove evolution anytime you want , just go to synaptic and uncheck consider recomended packages as dependencies , that way removing evolution ( and a bunch of other worthless crap) won't take out ubuntu-desktop , that is if you even want to keep that .
