There is a problem with the Ubuntuzilla wiki page (http://sourceforge.net/apps/mediawiki/ubuntuzilla/index.php?title=Main_Page#64bit_users). I run 64-bit Ubuntu 9.10, but the instructions there don't fix the problem for me.

I have both the 32- and 64-bit versions of the Sun Java plugin on my system, and have even manually created a link to the 32-bit version of the plugin for Firefox (in the ~/.mozilla/plugins folder). The Java plugin still doesn't show up in Firefox, or Swiftfox (no surprise there, since Swiftfox is basically the same program).

Is there some other fix? So far I'm having to do without the Java plugin, which means a lot of stuff (e.g. USAA Deposit @ Home) can't work.

Quick recap of my comment in the other thread:

-I downloaded & unpacked the 64-bit version of Firefox 3.7a6pre. Works great; all plugins present.

-Immediate problem solved; modifying thread subject accordingly.
