If the Ubuntuzilla script for Thunderbird is being phased out, is the same true for FF?

#2

Firefox will soon be updated to the latest version on all supported Ubuntu releases. https://wiki.ubuntu.com/DesktopTeam/Mozilla/FirefoxHardyJaunty

yes, instead of script, use the repository, which contains the latest releases of tb, ff, and sm.

for newest info, see project site, http://ubuntuzilla.sourceforge.net/

well, given that 3.6.4 has security fixes... 'soon' is really not 'soon enough', especially given that you can have it "right now" by going with the official mozilla release (or in a more convenient form, the ubuntuzilla repository)

nanotube, I agree, Firefox updates for Ubuntu lag behind which is not perfect. Are you going to keep maintaining the Ubuntuzilla project i view of the recent Firefox maintenance policy changes by Canonical?

yes, i do not currently plan to phase out the ubuntuzilla repository.

i suspect than even with the recent changes, there will still be delays between mozilla releases and their showing up in the ubuntu repos.

basically, unless it so happens that the latest firefox, thunderbird, and seamonkey releases start showing up in all supported versions' repositories within 1-2 days, i think there will still be a good reason to keep ubuntuzilla repos.
