Successful installations of games using Wine on Ubuntu and Lubuntu

Do you have any success stories about installing any Windows games by using Wine on Ubuntu 10.04?

---- I have now successfully installed Lubuntu and Ubuntu o all related families computers except one. It all works just fine and everybody thinks it's just so cool - look and feel is awesome! Programs that they need is also installed and works fine, all happy - ...except one. I'm trying to convince my "last computer" (my son) to at least try a dual boot but it always ends up in a discussion about the lack of cool games. I've tried Battle of Wesnoth and that is ok but not as cool as the latest games on other operating systems and friends game consoles. ----

Sometimes after a lot of fiddling with the amazing winetricks script (google it), I have:

Civilization IV all expansions, Europa Universalis III (no music), WoW (opengl mode, so no shadows and no hardware cursor - dx mode works but opengl is better performance), Starcraft II, Majesty II

all installed and working well on the computer in my sig - sometimes there is a performance hit - my guess is that if you have a fast processor and graphics card (most decent desktop-level ones probably) you won't notice so much.

Also I have older and/or less demanding games including

Disciples II, Plants vs Zombies, Tachyon: The Fringe

We have played a lot of WoW. Doing it on opengl mode in Ubuntu 10.04 would be just soo cool and I will do some googeling. Do you know any guideline - tips and tricks, would be very much appreciated //thanks!

Using PlayOnLinux has helped me a little in the past. I got my Steam account up and running along with HL2 and Team Fortress
