ok maybe i am getting old, but i do not remember since using ubuntuzilla getting "the official mozilla popup" when using firefox

i will still wait for you to have it in your repo's !!!!

just wondering if it would work if i clicked it? firefox 3.6.10

still think it is better to ask than do it and post an question on how to get my beloved firefox back working ;-D thanks

update, same with t-bird i just changed edit/preferences/advanced/update on both to NOT check firefox or t-bird

but never changed it to check ?

The version of FF your using is the tweaked Ubuntu version, you should get updates through regular Ubuntu updates.

The version your running is the update one on the regular repos as well.

There is a daily build ppa, I don't think that they are very far past the version your running for Lucid, and you get updates all the time, which can be a little irritating. https://launchpad.net/~ubuntu-mozilla-daily/+archive/ppa

i did wait and 4 firefox update files showed in update manager so i have two 10.4 system and both do the same thing

still in help/about show 3.6.9

in symantic it shows the files as installed so wondering why it didn't show 3.9.10

and on a old 8.10 system still using the scripts i did the gksudo firefox &

and it took and shows 3.6.10

and also did the thunderbird gksudo thunderbird & and got the update

so did it just forget to update the help about or do you know a easy way i can check version? thinki i fund it? re reading symantic i found this? note 3.6.9

I had a FF update today I believe in Lucid to 3.6.10. It shows this in firefox help-about mozilla FF. Updates will also be attached to what repositories your using in software sources. Some I think take a little longer to sync with the main server.

Here is what I got for updates/upgrades today as of a couple of hours ago in lucid . This is a picture of the history in synaptic.

So the easiest way to get a screenshot that shows correctly in the forums is to use the screenshot-select an area to grab, this makes a plus cursor to go diagonally across the area to be saved. This is different though when trying to save the dropdown, you would probably have to take a whole screen shot.

no one asked for it so thought i would put that up for help info?

but if you want it from history, can do ( with crop)

maybe a nice border on next one too?

all i want is a idea how to fix it

if you're using the ubuntuzilla repository, with the -mozilla-build packages, it's best to wait until the updates come through the repo. you probably /could/ just run gksudo firefox, and grab the update, but it's best to just grab from the repo.

it seems that the official ubuntu repos have gotten really good at pushing out new firefox releases lately! the .10 was just released today, and it's already in the official ubuntu repos. :)

they still seem to be completely ignoring thunderbird and seamonkey, though...
