hi all,

i m very new Ubuntu User. I hear about it that i can compile its kernel in my own way. i have just very simple requirement

i want to use just one package name as apache that should be installed by default in my OS. i dont even need any GUI mood. i just need shell mood.

Is there any way that i can fulfill my requirement ???

Hello,

Perhaps I don't understand the question; but it's not necessary to recompile your kernel in order to run apache. Apache is readily downloadable through your software repository manager. You'll probably just want to search for "apache2".
