Will there be an Maverick packages?

Natty only for now. I might be wrong, but I guess there will be nothing for maverick until the end of the month.

Added, upgraded, now what (I normally don't use compiz).

It's some of the work to make Compiz compatible with Unity, yes, but we have to wait new Unity packages to fully see the magic. It also seems that this PPA is just to test the builds before uploading to Natty repos, as I can see them coming in Natty-changes...

That site in the link just crashes firefox every time I try and click on anything :-(

Update, FF keeps crashing anyway, not just at that site.
