Is anyone else seeing this?
gedit, gnome-terminal, audacity, smplayer, etc are only a few examples where this is occurring

gedit, gnome-terminal, audacity, smplayer, etc are only a few examples where this is occurring Well I searched and searched and the only thread that I could find is this one from three months ago which has remained unanswered.
I was seeing this problem in gvim but strangely the menus reappeared. My screen seemed to refresh and the menus became visible once again, very strange. I'm currently missing menus in filezilla and until recently gnome commander.
I'm using the Classic Desktop as Unity is so unstable for me at present.
Anyone else missing some menus?
I was indeed having this issue, it was very annoying in eclipse. However, some update must have fixed that for me, I have not seen that issue for a couple days.
However, sometimes Classic drops into this mode where I must hold the mouse down for a second on a menu to get it to respond. Then it fixes...
Try this...
I'm not sure how to fix the problem permanently though...

I'm not sure how to fix the problem permanently though... The problem was fixed by one of the recent updates. For me anyway. All my application menus are now present.
