Hiya! I recently downloaded the Ubuntu 10.10 Kernel from git. I was wondering on a guide to customize extensively. I would like to change the code, configs, and stuff. Also can we make it into an ISO to burn to a cd?

Thanks everyone!

You can use Gedit or an IDE such as Geany to edit the source code of the kernel. Be careful what you edit though as over-zealous editing will cause the kernel to break and potentially will result in compilation problems.

For writing it to an ISO so you can burn it to a DVD, not too sure about as I never actually compiled a kernel... yet.
