Who else thinks its about time for a total overhaul of the ubuntu icon theme? Its gotten a few improvements here and there but it still feels dated compared to excellent themes like faenza and elementary.

I would like to see a new icon theme to but something gives me a feeling it ain't happening :(

Ah-ha I like it! In unity that is! Why is this not default? I saw it in the Betas.
I do remember hearing something about new icons by 11.10, though.
"This week in linux" said a couple of weeks ago that 11.10 would get all new icons.
That would be amazing and if they plan to keep Unity we need a square-like icon theme for it like faernza.
I thought I read that Canonical hired the Faneza creator, so maybe in the cards.
