Bring 'active windows list' applet functionality. At least as an option. I need it, especially when I download a file in a web browser I need to have an indication of download % progress. Generally, the more options = choice user have the better.

The unity fox things looks good. Certainly I think there needs to be alot of improvement when it comes to general multitasking between apps. I found myself getting very frustrated trying to switch between windows with Unity.

Agree. The background status aspect is a bit weak with the current Unity.

The window list gave two nice things, window management and status.

Using compiz-scale is working OK for window management for me, I was used to "expose" on the Mac so that is all good. As far as status goes, such as downloads, webmail, compilations, I think perhaps those could be implemented as notifications somehow if the window list stays gone.
