Sound & Font Problem

Assalamo 3alykom

I have a problem with sound in ubuntu. I installed it yesterday and when I tried to watch a video on youtube, the video was displayed properly but there was no voice(note: I've installed Adobe flash player) .. of course no MP3(s) went good .. I'm trying to download VLC player but there is some problem I'll be seeing later.

Another thing .. I want to display the fonts on the web as they are on Windows .. that is, Tahoma and Arial I guess .. how can I do that ??

did u get "gstreamer" plugins installed?

if not please have a look at this page, it contains most of the goodies you want to install after installing ubuntu

if you use a different ubuntu version you can just search google for "ubuntu perfect desktop " then type the version ..
