cant set paths for mameui

i recently started using mame on my pc before that i was using mame4all on my gph wiz i installed sdl mame and mameui the problem im having is i can only set the path for roms and the mame executable i cant set the path for sound samples artwork screenshots etc i click on browse to select the folder and it does nothing is this a bug in mameui has anybody else had this problem im trying to build a custom mame cab for my dad and he wants the artwork and the custom sound samples i made i know there are other frontends for mame but i think mameui is easier to use
