I am new to Ubuntu (about 2 weeks) and just updated today to the latest version. Since the update, my CD tray will not stay closed. When I try listening to music on my machine it randomly opens, what is the reason for this? Thanks!

I have never heard of Ubuntu behaving like this. Maybe your optical drive has a problem? However, it's kind of funny, since ejecting discs by pushing the Eject button on the front of the drive does not work on default installations :D

Mine does the same thing -- Can't keep a CD in it. The install CD did this while trying to read the docs, music CD's do this, all do this. I have Red Hat 9 on one machine, Fedora Core 5, on the other, and testing Ubuntu 6.06 on the third when I ran into this problem.
