I would like to apply for membership.

I am glad there is finally a membership avenue for forum users; when I first got involved this was not the case. I am already an Ubuntu member, but the forums are where I started so I would like to get my membership via this avenue as well... so I can be an official member via the Ubuntu Forums.

The difference is that not all Ubuntu members are active on the forums.

All Ubuntu members are eligible for identification as members. Those ubuntu members who are active on the forums are eligible for Ubuntu Forums Membership.

It is likely that future staff will be selected from Ubuntu Forms Members and UFM will likely help elect staff and FC members. If you are interested in the details, please try to attend the FC meetings or read the logs. You are also welcome to discuss the issue with the community on irc (#ubuntuforums).

While I don't see much of cprofitt around the forums (different areas of knowledge/language), I know him from IRC and he is extremely helpful. Looking through his posts, I can see that the same applies to the forums.

I have studied cprofitt's work he presented at the last UDW, over and over, and it's really inspiring. He has helped me with questions I had regarding the U+1 Team and presented my questions to the Community Council besides providing me with general advice. Besides all that, he's also very kind and always ready to help. I completely support this.

+1million on this cprofitt not only is he great on the forums but all around. I have meet cprofitt in RL and have NOTHING but the highest respect for him. just don't call em chuck lol ;)

I'm confused, as I thought you were already a member. I thought all memberships were the same, but there are different avenues to achieve the same thing. :confused:
