What's up with #ubuntu+1?

Trying to join the #ubuntu+1 IRC channel, I get the following:

Cannot join #ubuntu+1 (Channel is invite only).

"You are not on the list." :D

I think the channel you want is U+1 .

No, the channel I want is #ubuntu+1, but I now found the channel's topic:

Welcome to #ubuntu+1, the channel for discussion of pre-release versions of Ubuntu. This channel is currently unused, awaiting meaningful merges until Quetzal is fit to be discussed.

So it's just not yet ready for the public.

last week oneiric was still ubuntu+1 and under heavy construction. Just not enough yet to be happening with QQ

I have just asked IRC staff, they closed and will reopen after UDS. I guess they're not 24/7/365 service like us :P
