ubuntu on high end sun servers ?

Hello,

does ubuntu works on sun-fire 15000/25000 servers ? Does it support automatic CPU/memory board add or remove (aka dynamic reconfiguration) ?

Check what kind of CPU your Sun has and then check if the Linux (2.6.15) kernel supports that CPU. If so, you should be able to get Ubuntu working on it.

If the CDROM (does it have that?) doesn't work you may have to use netboot.

As for your 2nd question: no idea. You'll have to search for that using your favourite search engine.
