I have some reservations - mostly about how many infractions and their severity.

As a basis I would not wnat anyone back who'd amassed a ban. Nor someone who'd been sneaky and got more than a page of single ones.

Those who've been here a long time and had one early - then I can see the fairness - BUT if they then went back I would be severe.

I agree, if someon has several pages (2) of infractions, I'm against forgiveness, but if they only have one infraction, and that was early on in their history here, I'm all for forgiving the infraction.

There seem to be a couple of only slightly related issues in that thread.

Forgiveness. I can't see that there is any need to change what we do already - unless I'm missing something. We judge people on an individual basis when considering Membership applications or potential members of staff.

Archiving. I'm against archiving Reported posts or MUD unless they are still easily readable from the staff forum. I have occasionally found quite old posts in both sections useful when investigating possible recurra-trolls and other problems. Unless there are database or storage issues, why bother?
