I found this:

- can we open +1 before we are done the current development release?

- Launchpad will run into some issues here - can put stuff in PPAs and other places instead so we don't stop work

in one of the UDS discussions.

It does get a bit boring as we get to release time and then wait for things to start happening in Ubuntu+1

Interesting!

 • [bilal] We need more and more people to try out the -proposed repo, especially near the end of the cycle. With Precise, we saw many packages coming to -proposed near the end of the cycle before entering release, but still many of them (like Unity 5.10.0-0ubuntu1) had bugs that were detected only after the package hit release.

- How would we fix this? Enable proposed by default on betas/RC and disable after release?
