Discussion on #ubuntuforums IRC channel moderation

If this does come up - I'm not overly concerned about the channel and it's moderation - it was quite happily chugging along before we all descended on it last year.

At the most - we could stop fiddling about with the topic and list some likely people to ping in there - use the topic for a serious purpose.

I'm +1 to doing as little as necessary

I'm -1 to make life harder for ourselves than at present

I'm a ubuntuforums.org moderator not an irc op, but I don't mind doing so if I'm available.

I don't think we need to arrange a permanent presence in there, since the freenode staff can deal with anything major.

Agreed - although if Lord of Time turns up for the FC meeting I'll be interested if he has any further thoughts.
