we, a short while ago got the closed thread plugin installed - we have set this up at 365 days - anything older than that appears closed to all, moderation team are still though able to post - at which point the the 'thread' is no longher 365days old and thus open to all. Yep - we choose to reopen..

Today the following plugins were installed by IS - it is entirely probable that they will need tweaking

Gmail Dot Stripper 1.0.1 Mark Thread As 'Solved' 2.0.1 Search For Unanswered Threads By Forum 4.0.001 Tapatalk 4.4.0 VSa - Check If Already Posted 2.0.1

many of these will not affect you in any way at all, but we feel you should at least be aware.

This, as many other things that happen, are at the end, entirely approved by the FC, we make choices based on our hope that our choices benefit the whole of the forum userbase, with some exceptions.

This thread may be tldr - in which case do not read, and you can be assured that stuff happened today.

Gmail dot stripper and Check if already posted are working. Search for unanswered threads isn't, and I haven't a clue why at the moment.

My tapatalk just spins and can not connect to the UF Test forum. On my nexus seven.

According to the website, they support iOS and Android, but not Blackberry.

Yes, it is. And I'm keeping it for a while yet, because I can't afford a new one at the moment.

As far as I know, we don't have the tapatalk plugin installed on the test forum, we do have it installed here though.

Believe it or not, Mrs Lisati and I have phones for a CDMA network that was switched off a couple of years back. Might be a bit of a challenge to get them to display *any* kind of forums, partly because one of them needs repair, but mostly because none of the mobile providers here run a suitable network. :D

Is the mobile theme going to be scrapped entirely? If not, I can manage with that on the odd occasions that I need to use the phone. It's not exactly the fastest device in the west. :P

I personally would like to see if we can get them running together, after all the mobile theme is just a bit of css.

I saw that, and was tempted to comment in the thread, but thought better of it.

*Actually, I not so sure about this. There are some people who are contrarian by nature and will complain just for the heck of it. You'll *never* please those ones.

While we are testing, we've updated the settings so it is only available to certain usergroups. 99% of the member base here willl not see the tapatalk option for the time being. :)

The only people who can see it are: moderators, admins and ubuntu forums members

I think you can turn them off in the tapatalk settings (at least according to their site).
