I find it very annoying to have to keep going through a seven-second login process every time I want see if anyone's replied to my posts. Does anyone know how to stay logged in for more than the duration of a browser tab, like it was before SSO?
I thought I'd post here before I cause (another) argument about the new login system. :-)

The session timeout is 120 minutes, not "the duration of a browser tab" whatever that means.
One of the Canonical sysadmins was looking at this again the other day. Apparently, it's not an easy fix.

It's not working at the moment - yes we know - we probably [s]hate it with a passion[/s] have to do it a whole lot more than you - timeout for you is 2 hours, same in admincp is 30 minutes - when we have more information as to when it will be back we will let you know :)

@coffeecat: by coincidence, I had my browser tab open for about two hours for the last couple of times, hence the 'tab duration' thing. My mistake.
