installing pet files in puppy linux

okay been using linux for over 7 years and had no problem getting slacko 5.60 on an eight gig usb stick. but for the life of me can seem to figure out how to install a pet file. didnt get much help from searching. if someone would take the time to explain how after i download the file i install it. assume the pet file has been downloaded to the download folder.the best thing about linux is that there is always something new to learn. tks
