Hi everybody
I'm new to all this so bear with me if I do something I'm not supposed to do. I have tried to find posts about this or related problems but so far without luck.
I have just installed dualboot Lubuntu 13.10/Windows 7 ultimate on my Thinkpad E135.
My problem is that when I startup Lubuntu it freezes while loading the startup applications (dropbox, parcelite, network-manager, gnome-do, gnome keyring). To be more specific it freezes just after launching the gnome keyring. I stumbled upon a stable workaround: If I press some startmenu button and navigate the menus until all startup applications are loaded I can avoid the freeze. However this is a very annoying workaround as it requires my presence and attention during boot.
I have tried to enable manual using the same password as the keyring (advice from another thread), but the keyring still appears and so does the system freeze.
