Ubuntu 14.04 upgrade not showing up

Hi. I upgraded from 13.10 to 14.04 last night. When I click the gear on the top right of the screen (about this computer), it still says 13.10 and looks exactly as it did prior to the upgrade. If I use the command line to view the OS version, I can see that I am running 14.04. Is there a way to get the new features or do I just have to wait for the official version to be released?

Don't worry, just roll with the punches as they come. Keep running updates daily( or there abouts).

They haven't changed the login logo yet. That'll change when they get to it.

(You can change it yourself if you want, the logo is in /usr/share/unity-greeter/logo.png)

You will also notice that the background wallpapers are still those of 13.10 and that is because the the new background images have not yet been chosen.

Do not worry. What you have is far more 14.04 than it is 13.10. Although it should be remembered that 13.10 has Unity 7 and so will 14.04. So, not much noticeable difference there.

Ubuntu 14.04 has not been released yet so you are not running the final version of 14.04 . It will probably be fixed in the final version when it comes out .
