new forum ?

Hello;

Upon logging in I am met with the notification:

Hello, Bashing-om, a new forum has been created for Forum Ubuntu Members in Ubuntu Forums Members Area.

However, on following up to see what is new, I find nothing changed from what I have formally seen.

What am i missing here ?

I'm as mystified as you. :) I'll leave it to one of the other admins to shed light on this. In the meantime, I've moved this into the Forums Members area, if only to forestall who? what? where? posts from users who are not Forums Members and who can see neither the Members area nor the notice.

As you know I am a "New Member" and learning my way. This is not the 1st time I have had occasion to wonder what might not be enabled for my account in the Ubuntu Forums Members Area - the only sub-forum I see is Feedback & Information with any content.

"Feedback & Information" is all that is there at the moment.

I wonder if perhaps you have cleared cookies or something - doing that would likely lead to have to dismiss the notice again.

Anyway - there is nothing new - just this that you've been posting in from time to time :)

Hey thanks for taking the time.

No I have not "cleared cookies" or anything, All I did was log out from the forum, reboot, look at what my system's grub had "set", continue the booting, log back into the forum. As it is no big deal and I sure have not missed a thing; Let's let the matter lie as closed to a Reason For Cause: unknown.

I got the same thing thismorning and as fast as it appeared .. it was gone in the next click.

It happened once more. Though no great big deal. I logged out of the forum and right back in, and am presented with the 'notification'. I see nothing new since I last looked at this sub-forum.
