Right now I am working on

Getting 'All Applications' to show all items in the GNOME menu correctly. Some users reported it

• Shows items they never saw before
• Does not show some items
• Does not sort correctly

I think this takes priority since some users (myself included) use USP as my main menu because it is cool... but seriously, it gives more information in an easy single place just as it is described in forum

"Ubuntu System Panel - Simple launcher for the GNOME desktop, providing easy access to Places, Applications and common configuration items for your computer."

and I am striving to reach this goal...

Please post your views [U] [I] Queued[/I][/U] - *Removing/hiding the toggle buttons to make the panel more appealing *Configuration window so you wouldnt have to dig arround in gconf-editor *Fixing window-under panel problem

It will always be available. Just now you can hide it *if you want* :D

Is the USP still under active development? When is the next release that will fix have to unload reload the applet to make newly installed application appear in the menu.

Yesterday I finished working on revamping the recent documents plugin. USP2 now also shows recent apps!! (Without patching Gnome)

Today I have to find out how to monitor a file for changes without polling it every X seconds (if it is possible)

I also need to find out how to get the middle click to work on the applet to move it..

from what i know, beagle uses the - relatively new - kernel extension named "INotify".

gnome-vfs probably has an interface to that
