I was attempting to get ChruBuntu on my Samsung Chromebook yesterday. Everything was working beautifully, and then it asked for a username and password to use in xfce. I entered a username, which worked fine, but when it asked for a password, I was unable to type anything. I just pressed enter, then when it happened again, I pressed enter once more, and it said I could change it later or something, and gave me a directory file. Nevertheless, it loaded xfce, and there it was. I logged off and the next day, xfce was asking for a password. I didn't know what to do, as I hadn't chosen a password yesterday, so I was locked out. Please help me!

Maybe the pass is - blank

if not worked - check this website for Grub Method (resetting root password)

http://linuxconfig.org/recover-reset-forgotten-linux-root-password

  • if ESC not worked, try replace with SHIFT (hold it)

** If you are tying this method, you are going to get risk to never accessed to your ChruBuntu.

** percent to success is 50%-50% and worked 70-80% if you follow the instructions carefully. :)
