Keep in mind that there are only 4 devices that are officially supported where compatibility with the hardware can be assured. And they are the Nexus 4; Nexus 7 2013 WiFi; Nexus 10 and the BQ Aquarius E4.5 Ubuntu Edition.
There are hardware differences between the BQ Aquarius E4.5 with Android and the Ubuntu edition. The Android edition has a button on the bottom on the screen which will not work if we install Ubuntu on to the Android edition.
There are community ports to other devices but the level of progress varies. Installing Ubuntu for phones on any of these other devices should be seen as an experiment. Do not expect all the hardware to be working.
