If yes, how should I start? There is a whole documentation on Ubuntu phone, but it is really hard for me to understand.

There is a whole documentation on Ubuntu phone, but it is really hard for me to understand.
That is a very good reason for not trying to port Ubuntu to your device. The only officially supported devices are 3 Nexus devices and the BQ Ubuntu phone. There are some ports being worked on by community developers. They are all at different stages of development. But if no one is working on porting Ubuntu to your device, then you become the experimenter with all the risks that come from that.
