I was wondering if you were able to install ubuntu on just about every tablet, or if there were only specific tablets you could install it on?
can you install ubnutu on any table? Or specific tablets

aww, well that stinks. I have this old peice of garbage tablet I wanted to put ubuntu on. I was figuring it couldn't be worse then how it runs now.
At the moment Ubuntu for Devices as it is called is mainly about Ubuntu phone. Work is ongoing to produce a Ubuntu tablet. And there is a minimum hardware specification.

Canonical used 3 Nexus devices as reference devices but apart from the BQ device those were the only devices officially supported. Community developers have been working on ports to other devices with differing degrees of progress.

Are the ubuntu phones on the market yet? or are they still being tested?
If you live in Europe you can get one from BQ in Spain. Think of this Ubuntu phone as for early adopters
We are waiting for news of a Ubuntu phone from a Chinese company called Meizu. There are rumours of other OEMs bringing out Ubuntu phones and even tablets. But information about this and release dates are controlled by the OEMs themselves. If any Canonical employee has information about these things, then they are not allowed to speak of it.

It's great Ubuntu has introduced their mobile devices I think there gonna be great.
I am currently putting Ubuntu on my Nexus 7 2013 Wifi. It just rebooted and has the Ubuntu logo spinning right now. Can't wait! Very stoked.
