Hello,

I currently have a Dslide 706 tablet and I want to install Ubuntu on it.

What would be the process to follow in order install it? (There is no version of Ubuntu for this tablet) Would I need a micro-usb to help the installation?

Thank you all for your possible help, Kind Regards.

PC.

THAT being the case, why do you then want to install it? It's very likely that there are no Linux drivers for the hardware embedded in the tablet. IF you can't boot from install media, there's really no way to tell if Ubuntu will find and install working drivers.

When it come to mobile devices and customizations, XDA has some very helpful people at their forums http://forum.xda-developers.com/ if they don't have the answer then it's not gonna happen.

I have an inexpensive RCA 7" tablet that I purchased on black friday last year. I've tried so many different methods to get Ubuntu installed on it, I finally bricked the system. Many inexpensive tablets are locked down enough that it makes it difficult to install another os on them.

I'd suggest you check the XDA Developers Forum, to see if any one else is trying to do the same as you.

Aw far as I know there's only a few mobile devices Ubuntu can be installed on so you might have to find out if your device in on that list.
