Hi Guys,

I'v been browsing the web for this one, but couldn't find any info on it. I'm not even sure if one of you ever tried this.

I have a Sun Blade 100 which works fine with Dapper. Now my idea is to attach a tapedrive to it, either with scsi, ATA or USB, and use it as a file/backup server. Now I'm not sure if Dapper supports any backup drives on Sun. (Is the HCL for Sun systems the same as the regular HCL at all, be it a wireless network card, or a tapedrive? ) And which software to use for it.

Any ideas? Thanks in advance!

Well, I didn't do anything special really. I just installed it, and it worked. Took some time to get the X server up and running, but even that works....

torches ... Make sure you have the latest running Openboot version on your Sunblade .... To do so you need the latest copy of Solaris and check out docs.sun.com on how to upgrade/flash openboot

I have the lastest OBP for the SB100 which 4.17.1. And I am using the image of the daily builds of Aug 7. BTW I have the UltraSPARC IIe SB100. Does any of you have the same processor on their SB100?

Sorry guys,

This was originally a post about a little question I have. There are a few posts about installation problems on a Blade 100, maybe there is some more info for you in those?
