I'm creating a rather complex Wiki Community Help page.
Therefore, I'm using the sandbox as recommended by the documentation: https://wiki.ubuntu.com/paddy-landau/sandbox
However, each time I save my work, it sends a notification out.
Notifications sent to: fourdollars, davidc3, voodoo-eu
This is still a sandbox, which will go through many iterations before it's finished.
How can I stop the system from spamming those three unfortunate people each time I save my sandbox?
I don't think you can stop the "spam" Paddy. :)
I believe those subscribed have deliberately subscribed to many if not all wiki pages, by design or possibly accidentally.
Sign in to the wiki and click on your username, then on Notification and you'll can subscribe to individual pages, several or pretty much all.

I've found out how to recover the automatically-saved draft, so I'll try to stick with that, although force-of-habit means that I'll probably forget quite often and press "Save" instead.
(I'm worried about accidentally losing my work, so I shall make a regular manual copy of it onto a text file on my computer, until the final result is published.)
As a side note, there is an issue. When I visit the page after some absence and press Edit, I get a 500 Internal Server Error for a while; I have to keep trying until it works. To whom do I report this problem?

That is a good idea, I do the same thing if I am working on a wiki, which I have not done much of lately, but there use to be some issues with creating and editing of wiki's that you have to learn to work around, I am not sure that is still the case but I believe it is.
Unfortunately I do not remember everything that I use to have trouble with but saving the work was one of them.

It's already saved my bacon! I deliberately didn't save, instead using the draft facility; but when I came back to the page after an absence, I mistakenly pressed the wrong button, thereby losing my draft! I was pleased and relieved that I'd made a manual backup.
I think that I'll use Save whenever I need to, and the three people who have subscribed will have to choose whether or not to unsubscribe.
Paddy, I have discovered that if you check trivial change before you click save, you do not get that message but a rather polite - Thank you for your attention to detail.
