This is an unoffical personal project. I'm posting this as a forum user and not as a staff member. Everything is all on your own risk.

Why ?
- I'll have a easily visible place for feedback and suggestions. If my guides have more exposure I can help more people and I get more relevant feedback.
- Ubuntu Guide recommends a different sources.list than I do.I include commented cipherfunk,wine and skype repos. I try to integrate a conservative but useful selection of repositories. AFAIK a lot of people are using my sources.list. I try to keep it up to date it and I read the feedback in the discussion thread.
- Ubuntu Guide has gotten huge and. IMHO users don't want to read all of it. I'm focusing on providing a useful (conservative) selection of Common Customizations.
What ? HOWTO common customizations (such as multimedia) in Ubuntu Dapper
[I]This HOWTO focuses on the most common customizations suitable for average users.
I have a personal preference to use commands in the terminal because :
- the user sees and learns what is happening
- the user can easily choose not to do some parts[/I]
