Many of you may know that our own wildmanne39 was recently selected for the Ubuntu Membership Board. That is great representation and recognition for the Ubuntu Forums.

What you may not know is that he is also running for a position on the Ubuntu Community Council. In that position, wildmanne39 would have a great impact on the direction of the Ubuntu project -- and provide a voice representing the Ubuntu Forums!

All Ubuntu Members should receive an email shortly with instructions on how to cast your ballot. (If we don't I'll try to get the information and post that here.)

I urge you to vote for wildmanne39! Help him represent us!

Cheers!

I voted again this morning!

Vote early, vote often! :)

#24

is that possible?!?

#25

With the right skillz and the computer in mom's basement, anything is possible!

#26

I have voted. I seem to remember that "vote early and vote often" used to be a saying that was used in the Chicago elections many years ago.

#27

Actually, with QIII around anything is possible. :D

#29

Just logged into the Hotmail linked to my profile for the first time in ages. MS was nice enough to not have any emails stored in my account.

#30

About 21 hours left for anyone that has not voted that still plans on it, to vote for your candidates of choice.

#31

Squeezing in one more bump :)

Poll not yet ended

This poll (Ubunhtu Community Council 2017 election) has not yet been ended by its supervisor, Ubuntu Community Council (community-council@lists.ubuntu.com). The poll has been announced to end _2017-09-27 23:59 UTC_.

The following URL will report poll results once the poll ends: http://civs.cs.cornell.edu/cgi-bin/results.pl?id=E_a3ae7670baed6bec :???:

#33

Just waiting for the poll supervisor to officially end the poll.

Which means a time frame from an hour to a semester

The results are in, they are located here:

I want to give a big thank you to everyone that supported my candidacy, I did not get enough votes to make it but we gave it a good try with the help of the community!

Thanks again!

#36

You put up a decent show :)

Not to bad for the first time out, it is hard to follow the numbers but it looks like I was not very far from getting the 7th slot, I knew I was not going to be at the top after looking at the experience some of the competition have.

All in all it is a good learning experience.:)

Thanks for your candidacy, Wild Man. I'm sure that on next term you'll be elected.

I will admit to being a bit disappointed, but all the best for next time.

As you said, there were some fairly formidable opponents.

Hope you're going to run again in the future, wildmanne.

Kind of depressing that only 171 out of a possible 686 people voted. :-/

#43

Dangit !

Better results next time .

together we can

#44

I will probably run again but it is to soon to say for sure a lot can happen in two years. I still feel good with the outcome for my first try.

#45

We tried wildemanne.

Congrads to Martin.
