A modified version for XFCE shouldn't be too hard to create :) one question though, can you load this applet in the native XFCE bar or do you have to add gnome-panel ?
I will also try to make this work on KDE as a Kicker applet soon, but for full KDE-goodness I have to rewrite it in Qt instead of GTK, and this is very hard. (Qt is completely different from Gtk)

I've been running this under xfce-panel for a few weeks now. I use the xfapplet that's available here. One can also run your favorite gnome-applet in the xfce-panel aside from usp in thios way.
The most apparent minus in this approach is that the logo you choose is quite smaller than if run under gnome-panel. I'll be posting more issues later on in the bug thread.
However in a pure xubuntu environment you would still need to install gnome-panel for dependencies.
Although a native xfce applets USP would be a great boon! Can't wait for it.
so... any movements for xubuntu users?...
come`on, i want it on my desktop....
I will look into this as I use USP in xfce already via the xfapplet. Not sure about the kicker/kde version but I will look into that too.

Next stop KDE/Kicker :)
Hope this helps.
